A massive step up from the debut 2007 Foggy, so much so that it looks rather good value considering what you get in Burgundy (pinot’s home) for £20. To lay your hands on any of the other superb Tapanappa wines, you will need to part with at least £10 more per bottle. There is an awful lot going on in this seamless wine: perfume, spice, dark fruits, fine tannins and beguiling mineral finish. A simply roasted partridge will be spot on.
