2004 Tapanappa Whalebone Vineyard Cabernet Shiraz

Author: Nick Stock

The 2004 Tapanappa Whalebone Vineyard Cabernet Shiraz is a bright, expressive modern red. It has plenty of chalky limestone aromas, almost like wet concrete, with spiced berries, dried herbs and minty edges. The palate has an even-handed style, clever blending is at work here, with flavours of liquorice and dark fruits all balanced on fine tannin structure. This wine puts another arrow in the quiver of this great Australian blend, marrying the comely charm of shiraz with the straight arm of cabernet.

Don't miss out on the next vintage of Tapanappa Chardonnays again!
