Legendary winemaker Brian Croser who created the Petaluma label, established Tapanappa at Wrattonbully on SA’s Limestone Coast, in 2002. Whalebone vineyard is 32 years old and yields a meagre 2.5 tonnes per hectare of fruit – bad for profits but great for quality.
