2015 Tiers Vineyard Chardonnay

Bright, light to medium yellow colour with a fresh, clean, bright bouquet of cashew nut, pear and creamy lees, with quite strong oak. The wine is full-bodied and rich, deep and intense, with amplitude and balance, a trace of grip nicely handled. It's a fuller style of chardonnay if not especially detailed in flavour or aroma at this time. The oak is assertive and needs time to mellow. Very good, and it will build further complexity with time.

2015 Tiers Vineyard 1.5m Chardonnay

Light yellow colour; the aroma fresh, fruit-driven and yet not fruity. It's Chablis-like. There are
stony nuances, earthy and straw-like, the palate lean and refined, intense and dry to finish. The oak, lees and possibly man-driven complexities emerge gradually as the wine airs. It tastes subtle and gently wooded, with a restrained intensity. Very pleasant drinking - and promising more in the future. (Vines planted 1.5m apart)

2015 Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay

Medium-yellow colour with a complex, multi-layered bouquet, which is spicy and deftly combines oak and artifact characters with fruit, the fruit being intense and bright, clean and refreshing on the finish and aftertaste. A delicious chardonnay. There's a softness, a juiciness to the taste and it's not dry to the point of austerity.
