2010 Tiers Chardonnay – 95 points, a whole new level

Some will say that it could do without all the oak. And it probably could. Then again, that would make it a completely different wine…

Textured and toasty, powerful and structured. Grapefruit, melon and yellow peach with a wicked mineral streak and savoury lees action kicking in on the midpalate. Almonds and spice as well. It’s the length that lifts it to a whole new level. Just goes on and on. I’m happy to see this style executed with such class.

95 Excellent
